Product Description

Major Applications
Approximately 60-70% of global EO production is used to manufacture:
Monoethylene Glycol (MEG):The largest derivative, used for polyester fibers, resins (PET), and antifreeze.
Other Glycols:Di- and triethylene glycols (used as solvents, humectants, and in natural/gas dehydration).
Ethoxylates: Formed by reacting EO with alcohols, acids, or phenols; used as surfactants in detergents, soaps, and personal care products.
Ethanolamines: Used in gas purification, agrochemicals, and surfactants.
Glycol Ethers: Used as solvents in paints, coatings, and cleaners.
Non-Chemical Use: A small but critical portion (~1%) is used directly as a sterilizing agent and fumigant for medical devices, spices, and other heat-sensitive materials.
